Laser hair removal with SBC Diode Laser

Long-lasting smooth skin safely and effectively

At Soma Beauty Clinic, laser hair removal is performed using SBC Lasers' own premium-class SBC Diode Laser device, which represents the latest diode laser technology. The device is designed for professional use and offers a safe, effective and pleasant treatment experience.
SBC Diode Laser utilizes four-wavelength technology, which allows laser energy to be targeted at hair follicles located at different depths. This enables effective treatment for different skin and hair types and helps achieve long-lasting results.
The device's effective cooling system protects the skin during treatment, reduces discomfort and makes the treatment as comfortable as possible.

The SBC Diode Laser is an EU-MDR certified medical device, which means that it meets the strict safety, quality and performance requirements of the European Union. At Soma Beauty Clinic, we only use high-quality and reliable equipment to provide our clients with safe treatments and excellent results.
Laser hair removal reduces unwanted hair growth in the long term, prevents ingrown hairs and reduces the need for constant shaving or waxing. Each treatment plan is always individually tailored to the client's skin type, hair quality and goals.

Why choose laser hair removal?
Laser hair removal is a safe and effective method for long-term hair reduction. The treatment is suitable for both women and men and can be performed on most areas of the face and body.

Benefits of the treatment
* Long-lasting hair reduction
* Smooth skin without constant shaving or waxing
* Reduces ingrown hairs and skin irritation
* Suitable for many skin and hair types
* Fast treatment times
* Pleasant treatment experience thanks to the effective cooling system
* No real recovery time – you can return to your normal daily life immediately after the treatment

How many treatments are needed?
The laser is most effective on hair that is in the active growth phase. Since not all hair is in the same growth phase at the same time, multiple treatments are needed to achieve the best possible result.
A series of 6–8 treatments is recommended for most clients, approximately 4–8 weeks apart, depending on the area being treated.
The number of treatments is always individual and is influenced by factors such as hair color, thickness, skin type and hormonal function.

How to prepare for treatment
To achieve the best possible treatment result, please note the following instructions:
* Shave the area to be treated 24 hours before treatment.
* Do not wax, pluck or use an epilator for at least 4 weeks before treatment.
* Avoid sunbathing, solariums and self-tanning products for at least 2 weeks before treatment.
* Do not apply creams, oils, deodorant or make-up to the area to be treated on the day of treatment.
* Tell the nurse about all medications you are taking, illnesses and possible skin changes.
* Fill out the pre-treatment form carefully before your first treatment.

Aftercare instructions
After the treatment, the skin may be red or feel slightly warm for a few hours. This is a normal and temporary reaction.
We recommend:
* Avoid saunas, hot showers and strenuous exercise for 24-48 hours.
* Avoid sunbathing and solariums for about two weeks.
* Use SPF 50 sunscreen on the treated areas whenever the area is exposed to the sun.
* Avoid peeling the skin for a few days.
* Moisturize the skin with a fragrance-free moisturizer or aloe vera gel.
* Between treatments, hair is removed only by shaving. Waxing, plucking and epilating should be avoided throughout the treatment series.

When can laser hair removal not be performed?
Customer safety is our top priority. Laser hair removal cannot be performed or the treatment may have to be postponed in the following situations:
* Pregnancy.
* Fresh tan or sunburn.
* Active dermatitis, infection or herpes in the area to be treated.
* Open wounds or broken skin in the area to be treated.
* Photosensitizing medication or other medication that prevents laser treatment.
* Isotretinoin medication (e.g. Roaccutane) or other medication that requires a doctor's assessment.
* Active skin cancer in the area to be treated.
* Untreated photosensitive epilepsy.
* White, gray or very light hairs that do not have enough pigment for the laser to work.
* If you have any illness or medication that you are unsure about, we will always assess the situation before starting treatment.

Frequently asked questions

Does the treatment hurt?
Most clients describe the feeling as a slight warmth or a slight click. The SBC Diode Laser's efficient cooling system makes the treatment as comfortable as possible.

Can I shave between treatments?
Yes. Shaving is recommended throughout the treatment series. However, waxing, plucking, and epilation should be avoided to allow the laser to effectively target the hair follicle.

Are the results permanent?
Laser hair removal reduces hair growth in the long term. Most clients achieve significant hair reduction, but individual factors, such as hormonal changes, may affect the need for maintenance treatments.
